Lucas used to date Peyton back in High School but they broke up. He finally married his friend Haley and got a son with her James. They are back in Tree Hill after 5 years because his brother Nathan needs his help. Lucas sees Peyton again after 5 years and he cheats on his wife who sees all of it. Haley recall her relationship with Lucas and decided to break up with him. Lucas share his feeling with his brother and ask him to talk to her but the thing Lucas doesn't know is that Nathan has been in love with Haley for years.
