The Acer Aspire Timeline AS3810T-6415. Lightweight design. Eight hours of battery life. Good-enough performance. What else would you want from a budget ultraportable? Read more about it here: http://www.laptopmag.com/review/laptops/acer-timeline-as3810t-6415.aspx

it wont be able to play really high quality games like Call of Duty because it has an intel graphics media accelerator 4500mhd graphics card, but it will be able to play stuff like n64 or gamecube emulators pretty well, but if your looking for an intense gaming laptop, i dont think that this would be it.

Gaming laptops will no longer be a contradiction with the new generation of laptops coming out within the next month or two. Acer 3820TG and Asus UL30JT are just a few slim, lightweight, and ultraportable machines that CAN game. With switchable graphics, those machines have advertised battery lives of 8-10hrs. The 3820TG will have the option to include the ATI 5650... that thing is a BEAST of a video card :).

A Mac book Pro is a fine piece of hardware, in fact it was one of the candidates I had for my new system. It has a really nice aluminum case. But in the end I decided to buy an Acer 3810TG-734G32n 3G. A non 3G Acer is around 600 Euro, the smallest Mac Book Pro around 1100.
