i know where you coming from, i am an afghan and i used to fight against taliban,but now the people of afghanistan dont want the taliban neither the foreign soldiers, there is one way, the taliban will sign a peace treaty if the foreigh troops pull out, by deploying more troops into afghanistan would never bring peace, this war could go for years and years, its just in afghans blood not liking foreigh fighters

Americans can conquer another country. The US is simply not a conqueror type of nation. Conqueror are few in number, low on natural resources, opportunists, take but not give. Americans actually gives a damn about the people of a country they fought in or subdued. Just think about it, real conquerors are old school colonial empires like Britain, France, because they do not export any worthy things to the people or nations they conquered.

Let's put it this way. I would rather smoke one ounce of marijuana and go to war than drink one beer. It's not proven to be harmful like alchohol either.
