Songs like this are proof positive that the Pink Floyd of Waters and the Final Cut needed a change. Pink Floyd was not the spent force creatively that Waters said it was. It just had to get back to being about the music.

they do tend to have that effect on you. Its like it pulls you out of your own existence and you are looking down from way above, and suddenly you seem much smaller, but its cool. That's kinda how i feel when i listen to their songs, anyway.
