Release Date : 2009 Fiscal Year; November 2008 to October 2009.
Graphic
-The Mafia 2 's animation system can simulate 130 differents animations only for the face.
-It can simulate 30 face's muscle.
-The Graphic system of Mafia 2 is unique for the game, like LS3D was with Mafia. It took more than 5 years to do, and details would be equals to Crysis.
-They made an Illumination system specific for the night. It will light building's windows so everynight will be unique. Also some streetlight will be broken.
Gameplay
- The city will be active. People will talk, smoke, read the news paper etc...
- The police will be busy with other criminal, in exemple, the journalists assisted to an Hold-up in a bank. Also they saw a pick pocket stealing a wallet.
- The City will be really living, some time you'll saw accident or if you look in a store windows, you'll see people buying, looking at merchandise etc...
- You'll be able to cover behind a wall, like in Gears of War.
- There will be a lot of interaction, you'll be able to take a chair in a fight. The majority of objects will be usable.
- You can go at Gym to get better fight performance.
- Police will deploy an impressive reinforcements if you do wave of crime like killing everyone in a store.
Character's life
- You can buy food like hot-dogs to regenerate life.
- You can use taxi as a passenger.
- Money will get a real importance, to buy clothes or go in restaurants.
- Like in the first Mafia, you'll need fuel in your car. Also the car will get dirty in a realistic way when you use it.
- You'll be able to buy house or Appartment.
Misc
- The damages on car are really realistic. It would be better than Burnout Paradise.
- The whole city will be available on beginning.
- There will be more than 80 vehicules in Mafia 2.
- You'll be able to open the engine and the trunk of your car, to hide gun or corpse, or to remove the brake.
- There will be no loading when moving in the city.
- There will be an amazing weather system in the game. It will simulate wind and a lot of effects.
- There will be 4 seasons in the game.
Scenario
- There is two hero, one that you'll play, named Vito, and another named Joe. He will play an important role in the game, way more than just a teammates.
- Mafia 2 is not following the story of Mafia.
- There's 3 part in the game. In the first one, you'll try to join the Mafia. In the second, you'll have to choose between one of the three Mafia of the city. In the last one, you'll have to do the proper scenario of the Mafia you'll choose.
- Mafia 2 has around 120 minutes of cinematic.
- The Mafia 2's scenario has around 700 pages.
- There will be a lot of secondary mission.
- Developer states that you won't become the Don of the Mafia, you'll stay a simple Mafia member.
Some information
about the first one
- When you reload your gun, the ammo load stay on ground. The balls Socket also stay on ground.
- NPC ( Non player Character ) like enemy, allies or any other bot in the game, have a maximum of ammo. If a gangster shoot you, and he got only 30 ammo, he will get out of ammo after that amount. He will try to hit you instead of shooting.
